LAMB OF GOD To Announce Spring Tour Details 'Very Soon'

December 7, 2006

LAMB OF GOD is rumored to be planning a U.S. tour with MACHINE HEAD and TRIVIUM beginning in February and running through April. LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler stated in an online posting, "So the spring tour is shaping up nice. We are going to announce the details here in just a couple of days, but I will say this much — we've been playing arenas and festivals for almost two years now. While it has been exciting, huge and surprisingly successful, we are purposefully taking ourselves out of the arenas and back into the places we started. There is nothing like the power and energy of an intense club show and we are ready to breathe that air again. We have also been traveling the beaten path for several years as well and we are going off course on this one.

"To all of you who 'never get shows,' watch out — you might be getting one real soon. That's all I can say for now, but keep checking back — we will announce the package and dates very soon."

As previously reported, LAMB OF GOD has been nominated for a Grammy in the "Best Metal Performance" category for "Redneck", the first single from their acclaimed album "Sacrament".

"Sacrament", which was produced by Machine (CLUTCH, KING CRIMSON, PITCHSHIFTER, EIGHTEEN VISIONS, EVERY TIME I DIE),has sold 158,000 copies in the United States since its August 21, 2006 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
